About The Position

Fabricate and inspect parts to specification, for maximum productivity, cost effectiveness, and quality. Work from DriSteem electronic documentation such as JOL, work instructions, prints, and instructions in accordance with DriSteem quality standards. Operate with integrity and consideration for all DriSteem customers, suppliers, and employees to ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful work environment consistent with DriSteem values, policies, and procedures. Fabrication Work from electronic drawings and electronic JOLs to fabricate and inspect product. Debur parts using sander or debur machine. Set up and use all precision measuring instruments to measure work. Shake parts from planks as required. Work on different equipment such as press brake, shear, and notcher. Perform daily cycle count.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge such as ability to operate a computer, tablet, and any other form of electronic software.
  • Work professionally and collaboratively with others.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Sense of urgency and a strong “hands-on” work ethic.
  • Build strong and effective working relationships amongst the teams and with colleagues across functions.
  • Work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Detail oriented to ensure procedures are followed for consistency purposes such as safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Strive for product and process improvements that meet or exceed our customer requirements as well as being compliant with ISO 9001-2015 policies.
  • Support Lean activities including Kaizen Events and 5S.
  • Keep supervisor and Cell Lead informed of job-related problems and other information related to work activity including the Kaizen Newspaper.
  • Maintain positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management. Respectful and supportive interaction with others is expected.
  • Ensure work area is maintained in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Ensure all processes are safe for employees, ergonomically correct and comply with OSHA requirements.
  • Report all safety concerns to their Lead, Supervisor or Safety Committee Member.
  • Operate computer, tablet, and other electronic devices.
  • Lift, push, and pull moderate weights.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • Perform related work as apparent or assigned.
