The associate will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints, select appropriate materials, and execute welding tasks efficiently. Ultimately, the Fabrication & Welding Associate II contributes to the seamless production flow and the delivery of durable, reliable products that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Ability to perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from a recognized welding program such as AWS (American Welding Society).
  • Experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and other specialty metals.
  • Familiarity with CNC cutting and fabrication machinery.
  • Basic understanding of metallurgy and welding metallurgy principles.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding and fabrication requirements.
  • Perform various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metal parts according to project standards.
  • Operate fabrication equipment including cutting, grinding, and shaping tools to prepare materials for welding.
  • Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot fabrication issues and improve production processes.
  • Document work performed and report any discrepancies or defects to the quality assurance team.
