The Fabrication Technician plays a critical role in hands-on prototyping and advanced manufacturing, supporting a wide range of projects including custom test rig builds, structural aircraft modifications, and bespoke hardware for R&D efforts. This position demands precision welding, sheet metal fabrication, and machining expertise, particularly in aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models. Candidates should bring a deep understanding of fabrication techniques, including basic CNC, waterjet operation, TIG welding, and general metalworking. Being comfortable adapting processes in a fast-moving, highly iterative environment is of utmost importance as well. Success in this role requires an eye for detail, a strong mechanical aptitude, and seamless collaboration with engineers and technicians across disciplines. The technician must be willing and available to work swing shifts to support critical development timelines.
