About The Position

Fabrication Support is responsible for efficiently operating Fabrication equipment in order to modify aluminum parts based on the specific order. This position is also responsible for using a variety of inspection tools to ensure that the parts produced meet the required quality specifications.

Requirements

Basic computer skills
Ability to recognize safety concerns
Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment
A highly motivated self-starter
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic math skills
Ability to detect minor defects in the finish of the product
Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts according to customer specifications

Responsibilities

Exhibit active leadership in order to model and support the company’s vision, culture and strategies
Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines
Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently in order to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirements
Strenuous or repetitive jobs must rotate at a minimum of every 4 hours to prevent the risk of injury
Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders: Review manufacturing orders in order to verify internal and external customer specifications
Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders: Package orders based on customer specifications
Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders: Follow current work center schedule to ensure customer service and satisfaction
Monitor and recommend appropriate process improvements to safety, rates, yield and inspection techniques
Perform general machine maintenance as necessary to keep equipment in a well maintained condition
Provide suggestions and continuous improvements ideas to help better processes and procedures
Keep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine)
Continually support and improve the department’s key measures
