About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead second-shift operations in a structural steel environment. This role is responsible for guiding a team of welders and fitters, ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and collaborative workplace.

Requirements

Knowledge of structural steel fabrication, welding, layout, and material handling
Experience with CNC fabrication equipment and shop operations
Understanding of safety practices, quality standards, and cost control measures
Ability to follow and enforce workplace safety policies
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
High school diploma or equivalent required

Nice To Haves

Technical certifications or an associate degree in a related field
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Partner with shop leadership to plan and execute production schedules and meet delivery targets
Supervise daily activities of welders and fitters, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
Assign and balance workloads to optimize productivity
Provide hands-on support and guidance for fabrication challenges, including drawings, techniques, and safety practices
Monitor progress toward deadlines and adjust team assignments as needed
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
Set expectations, provide feedback, and foster strong communication within the team
Collaborate with quality control to maintain AISC standards and overall product quality
Support administrative functions such as interviewing, training, evaluations, and time tracking
Assist with resolving employee concerns and contributing to continuous improvement efforts
Perform additional duties as required
