We’re looking for a Fabrication Supervisor who thrives in a hands-on environment, leads teams with clarity, and ensures work is executed to exact specifications. In this role, you’ll supervise and support fabrication personnel, coordinate daily shop activities, and ensure high-quality fabrication of components for highly engineered industrial and commercial projects. You’ll work closely with engineers, project managers, and skilled trades to maintain safety, productivity, and quality standards throughout the fabrication process. What You’ll Experience in This Position: The Fabrication Supervisor oversees daily operations in the fabrication department, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, and a positive work environment. This role involves supervising a team, coordinating workflow, and driving process improvements.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, OR
  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience/training, OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong math and reasoning skills; ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge of fabrication processes.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes, outdoor conditions, and vibration.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 lbs; occasional lifting over 100 lbs.
  • Noise level requires compliance with hearing conservation program.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze work orders and drawings to determine materials, operations, and sequence required.
  • Requisition dies, fixtures, and materials for production.
  • Inspect defective machinery, identify causes of malfunction, and report repair needs.
  • Set up and operate machines for test runs and experimental products.
  • Oversee inspections of work in progress and finished products to ensure quality standards.
  • Review production schedules and estimate labor requirements for job completion.
  • Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations for employees.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Recommend improvements to processes, equipment performance, and product quality.
  • Motivate and lead team members to achieve goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Maintain accurate time and production records.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate departmental activities.
