What You Will Do: Work with plastic (PVC, CPVC, PVDF), carbon, stainless steel piping and sheet goods to assemble interconnecting piping between vessels, pumps, and valves Fabricate and assemble equipment based on mechanical drawings Route and terminate wires based on electrical drawings Operate industrial machining equipment such as a drill press, threader, cutters, sanders/grinders, and various types of saws Use overhead crane and safe rigging and maneuvering of loads in support of the various equipment assembly and preparation for shipment activities Operate a forklift and pallet jack Other duties as assigned Position Details: Plant location: Glenwood, IL Work week and shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience reading and interpreting basic mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Experience using hand/power tools and basic size/weight measuring devices
  • Experience assembling plastic or stainless-steel piping
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity
  • This position requires regularly lifting and carrying 50 lbs
  • The work is performed in a shop environment with exposure to dust, noise, odors

Nice To Haves

  • Skilled trade degree or certification
  • Ability to wire simple circuitry and perform point-to-point terminations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Previous forklift operating experience
  • Basic computer skills (examples: data entry, Internet/e-mail, etc.)

Responsibilities
