The Fabrication Inspector will ensure quality control and compliance throughout the fabrication process. Oversee quality checks through various stages of the fabrication process, ensuring that all procedures comply with quality standards. The Fabrication Inspector has an understanding of Engineering Drawings and specifications. Ability to communicate with other teams such as assembly and front office. You will document inspections, outlining findings, deviations, and corrective actions taken such as rework. You will utilize various inspection tools such as calipers, tape measures, gauges and other testing devices or techniques to measure parts. You will verify that the most current BOM are being used to Kitt jobs in the Fabrication department. Any revisions released to the production floor regarding functionality and customer specifications are incorporated into the product, all documentation reflects the current revision, and previous revisions of documents are not used / discarded. You will verify parts are Fabricated correctly according to Enovia drawings. You will verify that quantity and correct part numbers are kitted correctly against bill of materials and DMM data base. You will read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and other specifications to ensure accurate inspections and adherence to design requirements. You will thoroughly document and communicate non-conformances, which are critical quality records, and verify required rework to aid problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. Communicate design errors to appropriate front end personnel for correction via turnback system, obtain revisions, and verify required rework. You will ensure that suspect product is always identified as such to prevent unintended use.
