Job Summary: This position is responsible for quoting new fabrication and validating existing fabrication pricing. Estimators determine the weights of fabrication through various engineering documents, such as flats and shear sheets, and calculate estimated production labor hours. Estimators advise cross-functional departments on pricing and respond to other fabrication questions or requests.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training
  • Proficient computer skills; ability to use MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of inventory management and order entry systems, such as SyteLine
  • Ability to read architectural blueprints
  • Knowledge of foodservice industry standards and related manufacturing materials
  • Knowledge of compliance considerations for the foodservice industry, such as ETL (Edison Testing Laboratories) and NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) regulations
  • Analytical; synthesizes complex and diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data; designs workflows and procedures
  • Cost consciousness; contributes to profits and revenues; conserves organizational resources

Responsibilities

  • Quote new and existing fabrication pricing
  • Calculate weights of fabrication and production labor hours
  • Analyze engineering documents
  • Assign part numbers and sketch numbers to engineering drawings
  • Update fabrication pricing information in SyteLine
  • Setup Item Master in SyteLine, including estimated hours of manufacturing operation
  • Advise cross-functional departments on fabrication pricing
  • Perform other tasks to support engineering as needed
