About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fabrication Estimator with a strong background in manufacturing estimating and proficiency in Bluebeam. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project drawings and specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, and assisting with bid proposals for custom fabrication projects. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, labor, and project timelines.

Requirements

• 5 + years of experience in estimation, or engineering roles within fabrication, energy, waste management, or manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor, CADWorx) and advanced fabrication methods.
• Proven ability to manage full project lifecycles, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communications.
• Strong proficiency in Bluebeam for takeoffs and document review.
• Solid understanding of fabrication processes, materials and shop operations.
• Familiarity with CAD drawings and the ability to read and interpret technical plans.
• Experience in energy, oil & gas, renewable energy, or industrial fabrication projects.
• Knowledge of project documentation standards, SOPs, and ISO compliance.
• Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Use Bluebeam for takeoffs, measurements, and markups to support the estimating process.
• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain material and labor pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify scope and specifications.
• Prepare and submit detailed, accurate, and competitive bids and proposals.
• Analyze project scope and identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and project documentation.
• Update and maintain pricing databases, templates, and historical cost data.
• Participate in project hand-offs and production meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to execution.
