About The Position

This role, under the guidance of the Fabric Manager, will support the fabric development and sourcing process for A&F. You will partner closely with the Fabric Manager to learn how you help designers, merchants, and sourcing partners bring fabrics from concept through development, ensuring they meet brand standards for quality, cost, and timing. You’ll contribute to daily communication with mills and vendors, and track fabric progress. Additionally, you will support the biannual Mill Week that helps our teams in making relevant, brand-right product decisions This job is located at our Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related fields, or equivalent relevant experience
  • One or more years of experience, some level of experience in fashion production, product development, or related fields is preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and multi-tasking skills
  • A strong desire for adventure & curiosity with a desire to learn and grow
  • Adaptability
  • A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional partners to achieve the vision of the brand

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a PLM system is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Learn our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and maintain fabric tracking tools that help update development status to keep partners informed.
  • Partner with Fabric Manager to gather requirements that contribute to engineering fabrics that meet creative, cost, and logistical guidelines.
  • Assist with communication and follow‑up on fabric submits and developments, both cross-functionally and with mills/vendors, escalating issues as needed.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with Sourcing in order to understand global strategy and volume considerations.
  • Assist in preparing for biannual Mill Week, including organizing samples, schedules, and materials.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of the Fabric Library through the organization and proper storage of physical fabric headers and yardage.
  • Collect and verify required documentation that supports sustainability or performance‑based product claims.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with mills and vendor partners.
