About The Position
Fab Team Operators will be trained to operate multiple types of machinery including, but not limited to, chopping/blocking equipment and slitting machines. Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, machine operators are expected to work in a manner which promotes safety, quality, and efficiency to meet production goals.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
Nice To Haves
- Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, SAP etc.)
- Tape measure basic knowledge
Responsibilities
- Follow ALL Safe work practices, LOTO, PPE, JHA’s, Sops, Wait for the Wave, etc.
- Complete forklift training (online and hands-on by trainer on the shop floor)
- Ability to operate a forklift and attachments required to do the job
- Skill and ability to meet or exceed the standardsized expectations
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to operate plant scanners and computers to print or scan tickets and conduct inventory
- Maintain an orderly, safe, and clean work area. Willing to correct unsafe conditions under his/her control and report those s/he cannot ix to a lead or supervisor. (Responsible for handling foam without damage, and reporting damage if it does occur)
- Perform other duties as directed by supervision
- Accurate use of the bin-to-bin process (SOP)
- Able to prioritize activities and communicate effectively with coworkers
