FAB Machine Operator - 2nd
About The Position
The FAB Machine Operator will perform technical fabrication operations on raw materials throughout the Fabrication Department using metal processing machinery. In this function you will: A. Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations B. Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor C. Perform initial set-up for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual controlled machines D. Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts E. Interpret work orders including written, Kanban cards, and drawings F. Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions G. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation H. Inspect final component against work specifications I. Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment J. Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment M. Complete any other assigned tasks from management
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution
- Previous experience reading calipers, protractors and tape measures.
- Able to lift 35 pounds - waist, shoulder, overhead
- Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance
- Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
- Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Internet (JOE), etc.
- Must be able to work overtime - weekdays and weekends
