About The Position

Must have technical training or on the job experience to perform any job on the Saw, Press/Shear/Break, Drill, Cylinder Maker, or breaking out parts on a Laser Cut Sheet on an as needed basis as deemed by a Supervisor or Production Coordinator.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret basic measurements
• Lifting, twisting, reaching, carrying and bending
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Ability to safely stand for 95% of the working shift

Responsibilities

• Produces component parts by drilling hole, tapping holes or reaming holes as required per the drawings using (a) powered drill press(es)
• Fabricates metal component parts (primarily cut to length) by operating the NC powered band saw
• Fabricates metal component parts by operating all metal fabrication equipment. Will serve as an assistant when two man operations are required on one machine
• Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Performs work in a timely manner and to the best of his/her ability
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment for themselves and others by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations including use of personal protective equipment
