Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? P&W Military Engines is seeking an energetic, execution oriented, and digital-savvy project manager to join our team. In this role, the Sustainment Affordability Manager will develop and track shop visit cost metrics to established targets across the F135 depot network as well as participate in the F135 Sustainment Affordability IPT. This role requires familiarity with Power BI to create robust reports and dashboards, as well as collaborating closely with customers, specifically the JPO Cost Team, to ensure alignment with program needs and objectives. Analytic, project management, and interpersonal skills will be critical. This job will require an individual who is both self-sufficient and can lead teams, can solicit help from other organizations, can multi-task, and has excellent communication and presentation skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of Customer/product support, project/program management, general business management, sustainment operations and/or strategic planning experience is required or with an advanced degree and 5 years of the same experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management, general business management and/or strategic planning experience
  • Financial analysis or business case experience on major initiatives
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Familiarity with Military Engine maintenance activities and concepts
  • Understanding of F135 operations & support
  • Strong communication, influencing, presentation and data management/analysis skills
  • Prior experience with Digital Tools (e.g., PowerBI)

Responsibilities

  • Establish annual shop visit cost targets for all module workscopes aligned with program cost reporting and cost reduction goals.
  • Monitor and report cost metric performance from depot module inductions consistent with established targets.
  • Understand variances and engage Sustainment Operations, program, and engineering to support corrective action and cost reduction opportunity identification.
  • Integrate identified corrective actions, F135 production and sustainment discretionary cost reduction activities into F135 Sustainment Affordability IPT.
  • Coordinate business case analysis of proposed sustainment cost reduction ideas.
