About The Position

The position oversees food and beverage operations during shifts across all food outlets. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of the Grand Victoria Casino and Food and Beverage Department standards, policies, and procedures. The individual will ensure maximum guest satisfaction and assist in hiring and managing staff as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
• Effective listening skills.
• Ability to perform intermediate math.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Working knowledge and skills of position under supervision.
• Skill in developing and maintaining guest relations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Illinois Gaming Board (IGB), management, staff, and co-workers.
• Team-oriented and enjoys working with and assisting people.
• Ability to understand questions and instructions from supervisors and co-workers.
• Ability to work any shift.

Nice To Haves

• Prior managerial experience in the Food and Beverage industry preferred.
• Prior experience with restaurant job positions.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to all Grand Victoria Casino and Food and Beverage Department standards, policies, and procedures.
• Obtain a basic understanding of the Internal Control System (ICS) and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).
• Ensure compliance with Grand Victoria Casino's Family Style Service Standards.
• Maintain maximum guest satisfaction consistently.
• Assist in hiring staff as needed.
• Administer disciplinary action to staff as needed.
• Develop work schedules for all food & beverage outlets.
• Expedite and resolve all guest complaints.
• Obtain and exercise a working knowledge of all fountain equipment.
• Perform all other tasks that may be assigned in the future.
