About The Position

This Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) role directs all aspects of the F-35 Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. Maintenance and Logistics program. Responsible for coordinating/directing all subordinate, multi-company Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in all aspects of F-35 sustainment. What You Will Be Doing Acts as the Luke AFB on-site primary customer contact for F-35 sustainment program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss schedule and technical performance. Provides close coordination directly with the field services director, sustainment program management, Luke site lead, US government, and International partners for all F-35 Luke Maintenance planning and execution. Responsible for the management of the resources required to safely and efficiently plan and execute aircraft maintenance support to include aircraft modifications. Serves as the primary point of contact with the Luke AFB Government Contract Representatives for sustainment operations. Ensures aircraft sortie generation rates, aircraft availability rates, and flying schedules are adequately supported. Ensures accurate and timely metric reporting to all levels of government and industry leadership. Leads the execution of all Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), Supply, Field Support Engineer, Maintenance activities and support equipment for all partner nation and foreign military sales activities. Serves as the on-site representative for all foreign military sales sustainment activities. Represents Luke AFB Site Operations to very senior multinational government officials (Minister of Defense, Chief of Staff of Air Forces level) and elected officials (Governor, Members of Congress, Mayors). Responsible for all affordability and readiness initiatives. Serves as the Deputy to the Luke AFB Site Lead. Must have an active Final Secret Security Clearance and maintain throughout assignment. Successful candidate must be able to obtain Special Program assess within a 3 - Month Time Period from date of hire. May be required to work additional hours as required to support the mission. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with related experience in the following skills:
  • Requires a history of demonstrated leadership skills (10 years).
  • Experience in base-level fighter aircraft operations (15 years).
  • Experience managing large, complex workforces.
  • Experience working with US Air Force Sustainment operations.
  • Must have an active Final Secret Security Clearance and maintain throughout assignment.
  • Successful candidate must be able to obtain Special Program assess within a 3 - Month Time Period from date of hire.
  • May be required to work additional hours as required to support the mission.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidate should possess a broad military fighter aircraft background with fluent expertise in aircraft maintenance, operations and support disciplines.
  • Familiarity with F-35 logistics, Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), and low observables would be beneficial.
  • Candidate should possess advanced interpersonal skills to be effective in a high tempo operational environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with international customers, team with partner companies, and local base authorities critical for success.
