Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics team as a Software Integration Requirements and Planning Engineer Staff embedded within the Ogden Air Logistic Complex (Hill Air Force Base, Utah) software engineering group. Our team is responsible for developing and designing F-16 aircraft specific software for the aircraft Operational Flight Program (OFP) and/or sub-system flight computers. What you will be doing: Responsibilities include: Provide on-site technical support in the development of aircraft OFPs. Develops subsystem and system level requirements, monitor software implementation, and coordinate processes with system test, flight test, and operational F-16 units. Interpret and decompose aircraft and weapons requirements to develop manual and automated tests. Coordinate and communicate with software test team members to plan and execute tests across the spectrum of the development processes. Document findings and results in accordance with established development and configuration management processes. This position may require occasional travel. Must be a US Citizen. Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance and be able to obtain a government Secret Security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.
  • Experience with any combination of the following: aircraft electronic / avionics systems, air to air weapons, air to ground weapons, sensors, and/or communications, or Electronic Warfare (EW) integration test operations.
  • Technical writing experience
  • Software and hardware integration design experience
  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power-point, Access, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Technical bachelors degree or a Masters Degree.
  • Extensive knowledge or experience with U.S. military aviation operations.
  • Knowledge of F-16 aircraft avionics systems including Pilot Vehicle Interfaces (PVI), internal electronic bus structure, and subsystem integration operations.
  • Working knowledge of F-16 specific aircraft sub-systems, weapon systems and how they integrate with the on-board computer processors.
  • Ability to effectively interface with civilian government, DoD, and industry representatives.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and must be able to work well in a team environment.
