About The Position

Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for a Requirements & Integration Engineer. This role fills a critical gap between software engineering and systems engineering teams by owning technical requirements, supporting capability integration, and ensuring alignment between system needs and implemented functionality. It requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering and program leadership, as well as direct customer interaction and technical reporting in support of SecureView capabilities. This is an onsite position location in Rome, NY and requires an active Secret clearance What You'll Do: Gain technical understanding of cross domain solutions (CDSs) and SecureView to apply that knowledge towards owning development/refinement of requirements. Serve as a technical liaison between software engineering and systems engineering teams to help translate operational and cybersecurity needs into clear, testable, and traceable requirements. Collaborate closely with the SecureView Software Engineering Lead, Systems Engineering Lead, Program Manager, and Systems & Deployment Manager to ensure shared understanding of scope, priorities, and technical intent throughout entire software development life cycle. Identify gaps, ambiguities, and risks in requirements and propose mitigations. Support preparation of technical status, requirements artifacts, and integration reports for internal leadership and customers. Support architecture and interface definition activities in coordination with engineering leads. Participate in technical reviews (design, readiness, integration), including those involving customers. Contribute to continuous improvement of requirements and integration processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related discipline, plus 5 years’ experience in a technical engineering role OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing technical requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with requirement to test case traceability.
  • Experience working closely with software, systems, and cybersecurity development teams.
  • Familiarity with full lifecycle engineering (requirements, design, implementation, verification & validation).
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Jama, DOORS, or similar.
  • Active Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting sustainment or long-lived product teams.
  • Background in cybersecurity, secure systems, or mission-critical software.
  • Familiarity with agile or hybrid development environments.
  • Ability to read and understand source code and technical designs.
  • Prior experience serving as an integration or coordination point between engineering teams.
  • Prior experience presenting technical material to customers or external stakeholders.
