About The Position

A s an essential business, Anomatic produces innovative and sustainable packaging for today’s biggest brands. By leveraging over five decades of manufacturing expertise and employing an extensive technologies portfolio, we design, manufacture, and finish incomparable stock and customized solutions for numerous markets. The Eyelet Toolmaker is responsible for performing set-ups and maintaining production for U.S. Baird style eyelet transfer presses.

Requirements

  • Journeyman's card as an Eyelet Toolmaker or 4 or more years of direct hands-on working experience as an Eyelet Toolmaker
  • Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude as well as ability to read blueprints
  • Must possess a high degree of precision and control in work where damage could be high and where muscular control and delicate touch are required.
  • High degree of attention and care required, to prevent injury to self and others when operating machine tools.
  • Good verbal & written communication skills as well as time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle all aspects of metal forming from print to production.
  • Ability to use all manual tool room equipment including cutting, heat treat and grinding.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with deep drawn metal products in high-speed transfer presses and/or cosmetic parts is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Plans and performs a sequence of tool room machine operations where recognized methods are available on work involving close tolerances and fits requiring judgment to make general decisions on quality, tolerances, etc.
  • Plans and lays out work and perform most difficult and exacting bench and machine operations to construct, fit and assemble highly complicated eyelet tools, dies and gauges.
  • Runs all manual tool room equipment to make and groom tooling for eyelet transfer presses, including ID/OD grinding.
  • Sets up and troubleshoots complex production tooling and component quality issues at the press.
  • Repairs and replaces production tooling when needed.
  • Assists with any other duties and projects as required.
