Accountabilities: Efficiently and effectively assist with the satisfactory completion and administration of the following items in order to meet the needs of both internal and external customers. Safety Quality Product Assembly Improvements

  • Changing extrusion tooling such as tips, dies, heater bands, screws, etc.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Utilize calipers, micrometers, tapes, and microscopes to efficiently measure product
  • Adjust extruder parameters to ensure product stays within the specified tolerances per the print
  • Drive forklift to load and unload product and material
  • Satisfactory completion of a 30-60-90 day review program
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Must be able to troubleshoot issues in a fast paced environment
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excell applications
  • High School Diploma or GED or 4 years of solid manufacturing/production experience.
  • Sustained above average attendance record by not exceeding 5 points, or the allowed five (5) call in’s per the OPW attendance policy at any time.
  • No history of repeated or severe disciplinary action for violation of OPW company policy
  • Satisfactory completion of all required training programs as required by management.
  • Ability to work overtime to accommodate production / project needs
  • Must be willing to work assigned shift and overtime.
  • Must be willing and able to comply with plant safety policies and able to wear all appropriate PPE.
  • Ability to listen and take direction by supervisory staff is key.
  • Ability to use gages for inspection.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, push, pull, kneel, climb and work in weather extremes.
  • Extrusion experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with CNC background and a strong willingness to learn will be considered.
