Berk-Tek, a Leviton Company, is looking for extrusion operators to join their fiber network cable manufacturing operations in Fuquay Varina, NC! Manufacturing experience preferred. An advanced training program upon entry. Average paid training program is 12-15 weeks in length. This role provides the opportunity to work within the Network Solutions Business Unit of Leviton Manufacturing Company Inc. Starting pay of $20.00 and up based on experience. Week Day Night Shift Differential - $1.25/hr Shift Available Week Days - Monday - Thursday - 6:00 am - 4:00 pm Week Day Nights - Monday - Thursday - 8:00 pm - 6:00 am

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents provided to operator machines printed in English.
  • Basic math skills, required
  • Ability to operate a computer, required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various employees throughout the facility
  • Ability to work in both a team environment and as an individual contributor
  • High School Diploma or GED, required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or machine operator position, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safely sets-up, takes-apart, operates, and maintains cleanliness of any assigned piece(s) of equipment.
  • Ability to understand all shop floor documents that are necessary to operate the equipment and manufacture the product.
  • Ability to maintain and complete all required documentation in the manufacturing of the product.
  • Perform all required quality control checks and inspections on assigned product lines.
  • Assist in other areas of the cable manufacturing operations as needed.
