Job Scope: The Extrusion Operator is to be proficient in extrusion process operations. The Operator maintains quality, operates extrusion/processing equipment, and performs all associated processing activities. They will set up, calibrate, operate, monitor, and perform basic trouble shooting of extrusion and auxiliary equipment; adjust equipment variables to meet equipment and product requirements. Calculate rates and performance percentages for product runs. Ensure required changeovers are completed accurately and efficiently. Accountable for maintaining and sustaining FIFS program. Perform QC duties as necessary. Accountable for personal safety, behavior, and performance. Participate in a full facility and equipment clean up as directed. Work Environment: Work is performed indoors. Operating equipment may produce loud noises such as forklift horns and loose particles may be present. Employees may work in hot temperatures. Work performed in this job requires employees to wear a bump cap, hearing protection, safety shoes/boots, and safety glasses always.
