About The Position

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for producing blown film plastic rolls and ensuring the smooth operation of extrusion machines. This role requires troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical issues, performing regular maintenance, and preparing resin mixes for film production. The position operates on a 12-hour shift schedule, and employees are expected to adapt to changes in job duties as needed to meet the organization's production goals.

Requirements

Ability to meet output requirements while maintaining quality.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and operate extrusion machines.

Responsibilities

Adhere to production schedules to meet production goals.
Monitor and adjust machine temperature, oil levels, and screen packs regularly throughout the shift.
Replace dies and heater bands according to product specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to ensure smooth machine operation.
Prepare resin mixes for film production based on specifications.
Collaborate with schedules and planners to ensure the correct film type is produced.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during machine operation and throughout the production area.
Perform additional duties as assigned to meet organizational needs.
Maintain accurate records of production runs, downtime, and any machine adjustments or repairs.
Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
