About The Position

This position is for Novolex. Summary:The Operator Specialist (Extrusion) is responsible for the efficient operation of extrusion and thermoforming equipment used in the production of APET food packaging. This role ensures that all products are manufactured in accordance with established quality and safety specifications.

Requirements

• 2+ years of extrusion experience
• 2+ years manufacturing experience, preferably in the plastics industry
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is essential
• Ability to work independently as well as working with others effectively as a part of a team is essential
• Flexibility to work overtime and off shifts as needed

Responsibilities

• Operate plastic extrusion machine at a rate that equals or exceeds quality and production standards
• Troubleshoot routine process problems, and assist with tooling and product changeovers
• Maintain adequate supplies for all line equipment to ensure continual operation
• Complete required quality checks and production reports in an efficient and timely manner
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards and Safe Work Practices
• Maintain work area in an organized, safe and clean manner
• Provide relief to other members of team as necessary
• Able to perform Packer functions
