Extrusion Operator Lead| Greensboro,NC| Now Hiring Compensation: Starting at $28.56 per hour Available Shift: 7am-3pm (Monday-Friday) TEXT TO APPLY NUMBER: 928-668-6539 (928-NOVOLEX) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Set up extrusion machine by inputting information into a computer console, set roll gaps to precise sizes, and ensures quality control is production grade. Monitor all extrusion machines to make sure that all working parts are in alignment. Troubleshoots all areas of the extrusion process Installs die shims Monitors and controls extrusion blends along with raw material usage. Regulates rate of extrusion to prevent metal rupture and adherence of metal to container walls. Record data, such as SAP Production, Digital Paperwork, Leader Standard Work, Visual Factory Charts, Cleaning Charts, First Piece Inspection. Coordinates with shift supervisor to assure proper manning is used and managed. Monitor and make necessary adjustment to sheet scanners including changing recipe, calibration and gauge factor. Ensures all sheet mil gauges are at standard specifications. Ensures that all safety rules are followed and enforced. Works with shift supervisor to investigate injury/quality incidents and helps to prepare reports. Submits findings and preventive measures. Drives overtime coverage as needed on other shifts. Drives Lean process to the floor level. Meets or exceeds standards in the department. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Individual must be able to accurately input all formulas and recipes into the computer console. At least one year experience with extrusion machines is required, 3 years preferred. Thermoforming and/or maintenance background is helpful.
