About The Position

UA Little Rock's Center for Integrative Nanotechnology Sciences is seeing to hire an Extra Help/Lab Assistant. This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Supporting grant-funded research projects and performing tasks assigned by and under the guidance of research employees and graduate assistants. Material research in the labs may cross multiple scientific disciplines relating to the study and development of advanced materials. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled or accepted as an undergraduate student at UA Little Rock
• Ability to work in a team environment against experimental deadlines
• Knowledge in Microsoft products such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of one or more science disciplines (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, engineering).

Responsibilities

• Support grant-funded research projects
• Perform tasks assigned by and under the guidance of research employees and graduate assistants
• Perform research as directed in the area of materials and mechanical engineering
• Document lab activities for technical reporting, time reporting, and possible manuscript contributions
