Requirements

High School Diploma or GED; or 0-6 months related experience or training.
Employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Repair as well as tests fire extinguishers in repair shop, using hand tools hydrostatic test equipment.
Dismantle extinguisher examines tubing, horns, head gaskets, cutter discs plus other parts for defects.
Replace worn or damaged parts, using hand tools.
Clean extinguishers as well as recharges them with materials, like soda water sulfuric acid, carbon tetrachloride, nitrogen, or patented solutions.
Test extinguishers for conformity with legal specifications, using hydrostatic test equipment.
