About The Position
The Athletic Trainer – External Events provides on-site medical coverage for non-athletic external events hosted within UNF Athletics facilities. This position ensures participant safety, injury evaluation, emergency response, and medical oversight during camps, tournaments, community events, corporate functions, and other facility rentals.
Requirements
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification (BOC)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid certification
- Strong emergency response and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site athletic training services for external events
- Evaluate and treat acute injuries and medical conditions
- Administer first aid and emergency care as needed
- Coordinate EMS activation when necessary
- Document injuries and care provided during events
- Verify medical supplies and equipment are stocked and available
- Maintain AED readiness and emergency equipment accessibility
