About The Position

As an External Auditor for Midwest Petroleum Company, you will be responsible for the auditing procedures for all retail locations. External Auditors will also ensure accurate inventory reports to help control store asset balances. You will use handheld scanners to manually inventory all merchandise at the assigned location. Once the audit is completed the auditor team will upload the results so the Operation and Finance team can review.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year of retail experience

Responsibilities

  • Travel to retail locations to perform inventory audits. Up to four hours a day
  • Utilize a handheld scanner to count inventory.
  • Enter any unscannable items into Midwest’s ticketing system.
  • Ability to work independently or with other members of the auditing team.
  • Communicate with Midwest managers and employees to ensure all inventory is found and counted.
  • Follow proper rules and procedures to ensure safety and provide accurate information.
  • Handle any other work that can be assigned at the supervisor’s discretion.
