About The Position
The External Affairs intern supports the organization's advocacy and communications activities. The intern contributes to ServiceSource's engagement with members of Congress, federal agencies, nonprofit and industry partners, and other key stakeholders. This position supports the VP of External Affairs and the communications team based in Oakton, Virginia. The intern works with the team to support the development, execution, and refinement of ServiceSource's advocacy, education, and communications strategic plan. A primary goal of the strategic plan is to cultivate relationships to further ServiceSource's position as a leading provider in disability employment. As part of the team, the intern is responsible for helping enhance ServiceSource's visibility with key audiences to advance employment initiatives for people with disabilities.
