Colorado State University Extension in Douglas County is seeking an Outreach Program Coordinator to coordinate, promote, deliver, and evaluate non-credit programming. This role is a member of the Douglas County Extension Team, focusing on engaging the Douglas County community in Extension programs. The successful candidate will contribute to team goals and work independently under the supervision of the Douglas County Extension Director, receiving guidance from the State 4-H Office. The position involves regular collaboration with extension faculty and staff across various programs and counties. The Program Coordinator's responsibilities include: 1) Coordinating, delivering, and evaluating 4-H school enrichment or after-school programs such as Embryology, STEM curricula, and National Western Stock Show programming, with potential for expansion. 2) Leading community outreach efforts to increase enrollment and engagement in Extension programs and services. 3) Providing support to extension specialists, including in-office presence, communications, and event assistance. The primary office is in Castle Rock, Colorado, with eligibility for a hybrid work arrangement requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. The work schedule will vary, necessitating frequent evening and weekend work, though time can be flexed to maintain a 40-hour work week. Regular travel within Douglas County and infrequent travel along the Front Range and other parts of the state are required, with the ability to travel for program delivery or outreach events at least twice a week.
