Extension Home & Community/4-H Intern - Tooele County
About The Position
Make a positive impact by supporting programs that strengthen both youth and families. This internship focuses on 4-H youth development and home and community education, offering hands-on experience in areas such as leadership development, nutrition, wellness, and family life. Interns will help deliver programs, develop educational materials, and engage with participants of all ages. Our team fosters a welcoming and encouraging environment where interns are supported in learning and trying new things. You’ll gain experience working in both youth and community settings, with opportunities to collaborate, lead activities, and build professional skills. Flexible scheduling may be available depending on program needs. This is an ideal opportunity for students interested in Extension, community education, community health, or family and consumer sciences.

- Be an undergraduate student
- Have an interest in the Extension program

Responsibilities
- Work with USU faculty to plan, organize, present, promote, and supervise activities for adult and youth.
- Create social media content and assist with marketing to increase public awareness and participation
- Observe the operations of Tooele County - Utah State Extension Office to gain insight into Extension careers
- Assist Faculty to reach new audiences and provide opportunities for adults and youth within the county
- Take lead to design, schedule, advertise and implement at least one program or camp - one for youth and one for adults.
