About The Position

The Extended School Year (ESY) Related Services Providers provide high-level clinical leadership and therapeutic expertise, ensuring the effective delivery of specialized support services for the district's students. These roles are responsible for enhancing the educational experience by designing and executing targeted interventions and treatment plans that meet the individual developmental, behavioral, and academic needs of all learners. Key responsibilities include creating therapeutic environments conducive to growth, defining clear progress objectives, and supervising the purposeful delegation of supportive tasks to assistants and program staff. Requirements

  • Possession of a valid Massachusetts professional license or Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) certification in the relevant area of expertise is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in the applicable field of study is required; a Master’s degree or higher is preferred for clinical roles.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a provider in an educational, clinical, or community-based setting is required.
  • Extensive experience working with special education students and/or children with Autism, PDD, or other neurological disorders is required.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written forms; effectively present information and respond to questions from staff, parents, and the general public.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret professional periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to inform decisions for student success.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, caregivers, staff, and the community. Work with individuals and families of diverse backgrounds in an equitable, inclusive, and culturally proficient manner.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance to ensure consistent department operations and district-wide support. React professionally and objectively to unpredictable situations, such as behavioral issues or environmental changes, while maintaining a proactive, reflective, and solution-focused approach.
  • Work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining strong organizational skills to balance the demands of a multi-tasking position.
  • Perform duties with awareness of district requirements, state and federal laws, and Framingham Public Schools policies. Maintain appropriate confidential records in accordance with FERPA/603 CMR 28.00.
  • Apply knowledge of current research and theory in education. Demonstrate strong teaching, coaching, and leadership skills in a team setting.
  • Operate and acquire skills in computer software, including Google Workspace, and use instructional technology appropriately to facilitate learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in designing therapeutic interventions, developing treatment plans, or modifying curriculum to meet individual student needs is preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for following student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensuring strict compliance with state and federal special education regulations, including the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services.
  • Responsible for the evaluation, assessment, and treatment of students within the specific scope of the provider's professional discipline.
  • Responsible for the preparation of comprehensive written reports, progress notes, and data summaries upon the completion of evaluations or service cycles.
  • Responsible for communicating and collaborating with parents, teachers, and school personnel to provide professional recommendations for classroom accommodations, modifications, and appropriate referrals.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of measurable goals and objectives as specified in the student’s Individualized Education Program.
  • Responsible for the systematic monitoring, data collection, and documentation of student progress toward established IEP goals.
  • Responsible for creating and coordinating an efficient schedule of services to ensure all mandated IEP service minutes and requirements are met.
  • Responsible for the promotion of equity and appreciation of diversity to ensure equitable opportunities for student learning and growth within the least restrictive environment.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the Program Director that are consistent with the general requirements and professional qualifications of the position.
