About The Position

Your Role as Extended Care Counselor As an Extended Care Counselor, you’ll be a key part of our afternoon program, creating a safe and enjoyable environment where campers can relax, play, and connect after their camp day. Your creativity, collaboration, and dedication will make a meaningful impact on every camper’s experience.

Requirements

  • Education: High school graduate or age 18+.
  • Passion for Youth: Strong enthusiasm for working with children in grades K-5.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience: Previous experience in a camp or recreational setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all children in your care.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts to maintain a harmonious environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other counselors to create a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Engaging Activities: Plan and lead a variety of fun, age-appropriate programs tailored to the interests of campers.
  • Mission-Driven: Uphold the mission and values of the PJCC and Camp KEFF in all your interactions.
