Your Role As A Counselor As a Camp Counselor, you’ll be the heart of Camp KEFF. Guided by the Camp Leadership Team, you’ll ensure each camper feels welcome, safe, and valued. From leading activities and resolving conflicts to collaborating with other staff, you’ll create a positive and memorable experience for all campers.

Requirements

  • Education: High school graduate or age 18+.
  • Experience with Youth: Preferred experience working with children in grades TK-9.
  • Enthusiasm for Camp: Passion for working with youth and fostering a fun, supportive camp environment.
  • Flexibility: Comfortable supervising children in a pool setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Camp Experience: Previous experience in a camp setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of campers.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts to maintain a harmonious group dynamic.
  • Program Leadership: Plan and implement engaging activities that align with the camp’s goals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with fellow staff to support camp-wide programs and events.
  • Mission-Driven: Uphold the mission and values of the PJCC and Camp KEFF in all your interactions.
