About The Position

The Export Gateway Coordinator I is a detail-oriented and proactive individual responsible for organizing and executing export gateway operations. This role is critical in ensuring the timely and compliant movement of international airfreight shipments, coordinating with internal teams, carriers, and overseas offices to optimize consolidation and routing. Requirements

  • 1- 2 years of experience in airfreight export operations, preferably in a gateway or consolidation role.
  • Strong knowledge of export documentation, AES filing, and TSA/IATA regulations.
  • Familiarity with airline booking platforms and freight forwarding systems (e.g., CargoWise, Webcargo, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • DG certification and/or IATA training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Review Documentation: Accurately prepare and review export documentation, including Master Air Waybills (MAWBs), House Air Waybills (HAWBs), AES filings, TSA forms, and commercial invoices.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with TSA, IATA, and U.S. Customs regulations for all export shipments.
  • Coordinate Shipments: Organize consolidations and direct shipments according to routing instructions, cut-off times, and customer requirements.
  • Book Cargo Space: Secure cargo space with airlines and helps maintain carrier relationships to ensure timely movement of freight.
  • Monitor and Track Shipments: Track and trace shipments throughout transit, monitor flight schedules and capacity, and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Warehouse Teams: Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure proper documentation, cargo build-up, labeling, and loading procedures are followed.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed and accurate records in accordance with TSA and company standards for audit and compliance purposes
