SSP America operates multiple restaurants in the Bradley International Airport. Here are some things you can expect as an Expo/Food Runner: Work in collaboration with the culinary team members to create a positive guest experience by ensuring guest orders are completed accurately, on-time, and to SSP America quality standards. These tasks are to be done in a professional, friendly, helpful, and timely manner resulting in the highest level of guest satisfaction. Understand that our guest is out #1 priority Verify orders are being tended to by the culinary team in a timely manner and in accordance with exceptional guest service. Effectively communicate with the front of the house staff, to include but not limited to, servers, bartenders, and management, on the status of the guest orders received. Effectively communicate with the culinary team on any issues that need to be addressed and/or give regular status updates on orders placed. Act as liaison between the front of the house and back of the house operations in addressing service and/or guest concerns. Assist in the preparation of dishes for service, to include ladling soup, tossing salads, cutting portions of pie and desserts, and brewing coffee before serving to the guest, as needed or required. Monitor the Kitchen Display System (KDS) and expedite/prioritize orders based on where they are in que. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe back of the house operation. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 6 months experience working in food service environment.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language in order to communicate with guests
  • Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long period of time

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred
