About The Position

The Expo (Expeditor) plays a critical role in ensuring food accuracy, quality, and timing between the kitchen and service team. This position acts as the communication bridge between BOH and FOH, making sure every plate meets Ninfa’s standards before it reaches the guest.

Requirements

  • Restaurant or kitchen experience preferred (Expo or BOH a plus)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • High attention to detail and food presentation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Sense of urgency and time management
  • Clear verbal communication
  • Multitasking under pressure
  • Commitment to food safety and quality standards

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and serving staff
  • Verify accuracy, presentation, temperature, and quality of all dishes
  • Organize and prioritize tickets to ensure timely delivery
  • Assist with running food to tables, ensuring correct delivery to the right guests
  • Communicate clearly with cooks, servers, and managers during service
  • Garnish and plate food according to Ninfa’s standards
  • Monitor special requests, allergies, and modifications
  • Keep the expo line clean, stocked, and organized
  • Assist in maintaining smooth service flow during peak periods
  • Support team members as needed to ensure exceptional guest experience
