About The Position

Under general supervision, the Expo and Food Runner helps maintain a smooth workflow between the kitchen and the tables. The goal is to make service faster and better and to help enhance the Adobe Clubhouse food and beverage quality and reputation. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or close to completion
  • Previous busser experience required. Proven experience as food expeditor preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about the workflow between the front of the house and back of the house.
  • Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant.
  • Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional service – should be friendly, approachable, and attentive
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration: Ability to collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other restaurant staff.
  • Strong communication skills including effective listening.
  • Highly organized to manage multiple orders.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes in workflow, menu items, staff, etc.
  • Ability to remain calm during peak hours or challenging guests or members.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of food handling regulations.
  • Ability to use Point of Sale (POS) System
  • Ability to use employee self-service on company’s human resources/payroll database
  • Position may utilize golf carts; thus, must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Unexpired Arizona food and liquor certifications. Must meet age requirements to handle and serve alcoholic beverages. Must be at least 19 years of age.
  • Regular attendance is required. Additional hours including weekends may be required on a regular basis to fulfill duties of position. At times, an individual must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands and to seek supervisory assistance as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the servers to the kitchen.
  • Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority.
  • Assist in the final preparation of dishes.
  • Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature.
  • Deliver orders to maintain fast service.
  • Eliminate obstacles in service, food preparation lines or dishwashing.
  • Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning.
  • Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g., when a customer has a particular request).
  • Handle complaints from customers to preserve the restaurant’s reputation.
  • May be scheduled to work at banquet events.
  • Participates in pre-shift meetings, taste tests, and training.
  • Conform with all safety standards and use of all appropriate safety equipment.
  • Follow good personal hygiene guidelines.
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
