Global Exploration Coordination Manager is a well-rounded technical Professional who can manage his local and global teams, provide steering, monitor progress and introduce and implement changes whenever needed. Essential part of his duties is to adhere and enforce SLB technical standards and follow HSE policies. Deep domain experience and knowledge of Geology and geophysics combined with global exposure and working experience in worldwide sedimentary basins is a must. He should have outstanding interpersonal skills to be able to manage and deliver results from complex projects involving global teams with different technical and cultural backgrounds. This role will drive, steer and adapt new technology trends and emerging business challenges as well as stakeholders’ management. Her/his technical, business and managerial skills provide an ability to combine client needs and technical objectives with SLB technologies to support EXD Multiclient and Geosolution investment. Part of her/his duties are to ensure technical consistency, resource needs, conduct gap analysis and take decisions to achieve business goals. As a technical leader, he or She will be a key player in a big organization with the objective of building longer term strategic goals to bring Integrated Subsurface solution into all aspects of SLB workflows and service offerings through selecting the right talent, train younger staff and mentor his team. She/He will have technical and managerial experience working with Oil and Gas companies and deep knowledge of all aspects of subsurface evaluation, prospectivity assessment and risk management. As such, She/he must be able to proactively identify, establish technical success criteria, create shared vision for his team to promote discovery opportunities to the clients, as well as within SLB and EXD organization. Skills: Technical and business recommendations for new business development and future investment opportunities Ability to conduct macro analysis and understanding of global exploration trend, future activity hotspots and make recommendations for future investment options Exceptional experience in salt tectonics and salt basin analysis Combined opportunity realization, software skills and business analysis to support new trends in software development as industry technology gamechanger Experience in assessing staff performance and making recommendations for promotions, career options and possible options Technical Contribution and Duties: Shares local and global knowledge extensively, and communicating with the regional SLB geological community, technology hubs, and other organizations, such as research and development Manage the design and deployment of integrated subsurface solutions and workflows to address subsurface and business challenges. Manage global exploration evaluation to define possible geological scenarios to effectively leverage acquisition tools, survey design and modeling, data processing and reservoir characterization capabilities. Analyzing the complex relationship between exploration potential, market dynamics, industry trends and their implications on EXD investment strategy. Communicate and present new technologies to clients and manage company visibility in local and global technology conferences. Identify differentiated and marketable answer products to be used internally and deployed to clients Business and Organizational Responsibilities: Global business manager supporting geologists and geophysicists to meet client and SLB subsurface evaluation needs and technical specifications Well recognized leader inside SLB and within the industry Contribution to SLB decision for Multiclient and Geosolution projects Participation in new technical project framing and MC program support Additional desired capacities/contribution: Ability to manage exploration group and device solutions for complex evaluation challenges Excellent knowledge of many basins on a global scale Extensive experience and knowledge in dealing with many operating companies and competitors Ability to manage large multinational team to drive Strong contribution to SLB exploration evaluation opportunities Previous Experience and Competencies: Education: MSc/BSc degree in related Geology or Geophysics Experience: minimum of 25 years’ experience in exploration geology/geophysics and working with Oil and Gas companies Strong and balanced geological and geophysical skills. Talented in combining business skills with technical evaluation. Experience in managing large exploration teams Track record of delivering high quality results through managing large exploration teams to solve complex subsurface challenges Ability to perform under pressure, stay motivated and motivate his team members.
