About The Position

The Program Menager, Expert level job requires the ability to execute Asset Management and Failure Analysis initiatives. This position is responsible for supporting and or leading failure investigation including but limited to equipment failure and ignition. The Program Manager would need to cross functionally collaborate with other teams including Maintenance and Construction, Engineering, Compliance and with colleagues to ensure learnings from investigations are used to modify asset risk strategies. Position duties may include but are not limited to- • Keep abreast with industry through attending conferences and expos, working with vendors and suppliers, maintaining relationships with internal and external technical experts.• Where applicable, act as a liaison with Maintenance and Construction personnel by providing communication and feedback regarding construction standards, work procedures and equipment issues.• Address and manage emergency issues associated with assigned assets.• Support, perform or lead, as assigned, root cause analysis.• Provide support on regulatory, governmental and other third-party issues. Location is flexible within the PG&E Service Territory but there is a preference for the incumbent to be based in Oakland, please note hiring leader will make final decision of what are appropriate headquarters for the role based on business need. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. Position will require approximately 15% of travel time in work schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in business.
  • 8 years of related experience or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Quality audits or cause analysis
  • Experience in substation or transmission design or standards
  • BS Degree as appropriate from an accredited curriculum in the US or the equivalent from outside the US
  • 8 years of cumulative experience in engineering, planning and/or operations, root cause analysis

  • May act as a team lead and provide direction to less experienced employees.
  • Works with Directors and Managers across functions to influence decisions.
  • Communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences using a variety of media.
  • Integrates industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making.
  • Provides others with guidance around complex industry regulatory and compliance environment and considerations.
  • Creates new and complex data models to facilitate business decisions.
  • Provides direction on overall program.
  • Performs in-depth quality assurance final reviews and contract drafts.
  • Develops new or revises existing scopes of work to ensure compliance standards and deliverables are established.
