About The Position

Supports the Lean journey through role modeling and an ability to influence change. Executes on the vision for the organization, aligns the regional teams and functional areas with PG&E’s Lean vision, and provides ongoing coaching to facilitate and sustain Lean deployment. Monitors the health and progress of their regional and/or functional area by leveraging Lean resources to drive the most impact. Continuously builds Lean skills through training and hands-on experience. Directly supports frontline coworkers to operate with higher levels of safety, quality and affordability. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 6 years
  • CA Class C License, or equivalent

  • Experience with change management
  • Experience deploying the core lean tools
  • Competency in coaching people, especially leaders, to adopt and embrace lean tools, mindsets, and behaviors

Responsibilities

  • Supports Lean deployment and sustainability across frontline coworkers in Electric and Gas Operations.
  • Facilitates trainings for regional and/or functional area Lean team (e.g., Lunch and Learns, Bootcamps)
  • Supports regional and functional area to deploy core Lean tools (e.g., operating reviews, standard work).
  • Spends significant portion of time with regional and/or functional area team problem solving content, conducting observations, and providing coaching.
  • Conducts Lean assessments and regional and/or functional area team to monitor Lean maturity.
  • Has strong level of Lean knowledge to be able to leverage best practices and all available resources.
  • Ability to work independently, be self- disciplined and self- motivated
  • Competency in planning and prioritizing work, drive projects end to end
  • Competency in solving problems, sometimes in ambiguous situations, and escalating as needed
  • Conduct process confirmations of huddles and other core Lean tools to ensure quality (F1-F4 level), observe Lean behaviors, and coach leaders
  • Travel 25% - 75% and 4-days week at a PG&E Yard
