About The Position

The As-built Program ensures that information documented in the field after installation, replacement or removal of an asset accurately reflects the work performed in the field and meets data quality standards for ingestion into our Asset Registry. Asset information in the Asset Registry is referred to by various stakeholders in PG&E to ensure that work can be performed safely and timely so that everyone and everything is safe. The ET As-Built Program Manager prioritizes, coordinates and manages implementation of all as-built process improvement projects. The role is responsible for engaging the ET Governance Committee, consisting of process leads representing our ET As-Built stakeholder, to vet and set as-built requirements. This role will also engage ET sponsors and report progress on projects. It includes other duties as assigned, including working with team members to ensure smooth operation of the As-Built Program. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be Oakland or Pleasanton.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
  • Job-related experience, 8 years

  • Masters Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • PMI-Project Management Institute PMP-Project Management Professional certification
  • 10 years of related experience or equivalent
  • Ability to use understanding of the business to help drive strategic decision making, and to recommend operational improvements
  • Ability to lead the largest most complex projects across the line of business supported (i.e. Customer Care, Human Resources, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge and expertise of business and or industry drivers
  • Ability to lead large and complex projects working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to create compelling business cases based on complex business environments and inputs
  • Adept at addressing issues with diplomacy and tact
  • Experience implementing Lean methods

Responsibilities

  • Applies broad expertise and advanced knowledge to wide-ranging issues.
  • May act as a team lead and provide direction to less experienced employees.
  • Works with Sr. Directors, Directors, Managers and frontline employees across functions to influence decisions and actions.
  • Communicates complex ideas to diverse audiences using a variety of media.
  • Integrates industry knowledge related to data into everyday business practices and decision making.
  • Provides others with guidance around complex industry regulatory and compliance environment and considerations.
  • Creates new and complex data models to facilitate business decisions.
  • Provides direction on overall program.
  • Performs in-depth quality assurance final reviews and contract drafts.
  • Develops new or revises existing scopes of work to ensure compliance standards and deliverables are established.
  • Acts as a change agent during the deployment of projects and changed or new guidance.
  • Manages projects using the Initiate, Design, Schedule, Execution, Close (IDSEC) model
  • Works effectively with stakeholders to resolve issues and drive project success.
  • Contributes to process improvements, documentation, metrics, management of change and change management efforts.
  • Leads and facilitates Governance Committee meetings
  • Implement Lean methodology.
