About The Position

Sygaldry Technologies is building quantum-accelerated AI servers to exponentially speed up training and inference for AI. Sygaldry AI servers combine multiple qubit types within a single, fault-tolerant architecture to deliver the combination of cost, scale, and speed necessary for advanced AI applications. We're looking for individuals ready to define the intersection of quantum and AI and drive its profound global impact. We are seeking an experimental physicist with strong laboratory experience in atomic, optical, or quantum systems. You will play a key role in building and operating cutting-edge experimental platforms for qubit control, measurement, and scaling. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, creative problem-solving, and collaborating across disciplines to make new quantum technologies a reality.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience working with advanced laboratory instrumentation and quantum systems including AMO physics, solid-state and/or superconducting systems.
• Familiarity with qubit control, spectroscopy, or precision measurement techniques.
• Strong background in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific problem solving.
• Experience with Python or similar tools for experiment automation.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and characterize precision optical and/or cryogenic systems for quantum experiments.
• Understand and implement protocols for qubit preparation, control, and readout.
• Integrate control electronics, laser or rf and microwave systems, and data acquisition.
• Analyze experimental results and optimize system performance.
• Cross-team collaboration to guide system design and development.
