Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of composite experience and holds a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience interpreting engineering schematics, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Experience with basic Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook for email, Teams for digital collaboration, and Word/Excel for document creation and data handling
  • 1 or more years working in experimental / prototyping shop environment with mechanical, electrical or composite fabrication, assembly and testing of aerospace products

Nice To Haves

  • Hands on experience with electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical equipment assembly and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of composite, metal, and laminate bonding processes, including surface preparation and bonding agent selection
  • Skilled operation of autoclaves, hydraulic presses, ovens, and related temperature/pressure control systems
  • Experience in cutting, laying out, sanding, burning, and applying sealing resins to composite structures
  • Familiarity with safety protocols for handling high temperature, high pressure, and hazardous bonding chemicals

Responsibilities

  • Assist in interpreting schematics, engineering drawings, and work orders.
  • Assemble basic mechanical, electronic, electromechanical, and optical components under supervision.
  • Operate test equipment, perform routine calibrations, and record measurement data accurately.
  • Prepare material layouts, cut laminates, and apply bonding agents while monitoring autoclave/press parameters.
  • Inspect finished assemblies for quality, document findings, and carry out minor repairs or rework as directed.
