About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Skills Enhancement Center – Workplace Coach (level 3) to support Mechanical training within Manufacturing & Safety in Berkeley, MO! Position Responsibilities: Provide coaching and instructional training for installation processes specific to mechanical installations, rigging, torque, line handling, and blueprint reading and interpretation Provide mechanical assembly practice and process expertise Conducts learning requirements analysis and establishes learning objectives Tests delivery environment and establishes system access requirements Conducts customer workplace coaching sessions to improve individual or group performance Deploys development tools and monitors implementation and performance outcomes

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of mechanical experience with as a machinist, mechanic or other mechanical aptitudes
  • Experience with components manufacturing/installation/maintenance
  • Experience interpreting defect data and delivering coaching based on identified trends
  • Completed a blueprint reading class
  • Experience with aircraft unique tools such as support equipment/test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical data
  • Ability to work any shift assigned
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, equivalent work experience, or equivalent military experience
  • Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • Experience with coaching one or more individuals at a time and providing feedback
  • Understanding, interpreting, and delivering specific process driven instruction based on feedback from Manufacturing Operations and Quality
  • Works well in a collaborative team environment
  • Has the ability to adjust course in a dynamic shop floor manufacturing environment
