About The Position

Sportsfield Specialties is seeking a hands-on Experienced Shipping Associate for its Delhi, NY location who can work independently with others on the production team. Candidate must be reliable and flexible with the schedule.

Requirements

High attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task in a busy environment, manage your time and be self-motivated.
Ability to complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with assigned team member(s) and customers.
Ability to operate hand tools, and warehouse equipment safely.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Familiar with ERP software.
Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment. We do not sponsor employment visas.

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience preferred, but not required.
Preferred 5 years of warehouse and shipping experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with the required procedures, rules, and regulations.
Fill all customer orders with accuracy and in a timely manner.
Stage daily orders by shipping category/location.
Ability to read production and product paperwork to ensure specifications.
Place orders in designated warehouse areas.
Assemble and build custom pallets or packing crates required per product specifications.
Ability to read measuring tools.
Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store products.
Pack and ship items securely and effectively to minimize damage.
Ensure that inventory and shipments are secure and well-organized.
Ability to trouble shoot and think outside the box when shipping issues occur.
Perform other duties as assigned.
