One of the most important jobs in a dealership . Service Technicians are entrusted with properly maintaining our Guest's vehicles to keep them operating at peak performance. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions, training, guidance from team leaders and management.
  • Provide your own tools.
  • Must exhibit personal and professional integrity.
  • Must have a US government issued Driver's License, a safe driving record and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • A working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment systems and A/C equipment a plus.
  • Previous lube tech experience or recent completion of automotive technician training program a plus.
  • Bi-lingual with proficiency in both English and Spanish a plus.
  • Be team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of Guest service satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair Mazda vehicles accurately using OEM diagnostic tools and systems (e.g., Mazda Modular Diagnostic System - M-MDS).
  • Perform advanced repairs on engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension systems, HVAC, electrical, and hybrid systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid flushes, and alignments.
  • Utilize Mazda service bulletins (TSBs) and updates to ensure factory-level accuracy in diagnostics and repairs.
  • Ensure all repairs meet Mazda warranty and safety standards.
  • Document all repair work thoroughly in the dealership’s repair order system (DMS), including time, labor, parts used, and diagnostics performed.
  • Complete multi-point inspections and make accurate service recommendations.
  • Communicate with service advisors regarding findings, required work, and time estimates.
  • Adhere to Mazda and dealership protocols for quality assurance and safety.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all OSHA and dealership safety procedures.
  • Stay current with Mazda training and certification, including Master Technician status or ongoing OEM training.
