About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Automatic Press Screen Printing Operator to run high‑volume production on automatic screen‑printing presses. This role owns setup, registration, print quality, throughput, and press discipline. If quality drifts, output slows, or a press goes down—this role is accountable for stopping production and escalating issues correctly. This is not an entry‑level position. We are looking for an operator who understands process, repeatability, and production pressure and can run an auto press without supervision.

Requirements

  • 3+ years operating automatic screen‑printing presses
  • Proven ability to set up and register multi‑color jobs efficiently
  • Strong understanding of inks, mesh counts, emulsions, and curing requirements
  • Ability to maintain quality at speed in a production environment
  • Detail‑oriented, process‑driven, and comfortable being held to standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with high‑volume or multi‑press production environments
  • Familiarity with documented production procedures and quality standards
  • Ability to assist with press troubleshooting and minor mechanical adjustments

Responsibilities

  • Set up, register, and operate automatic screen‑printing presses according to job specifications and approved samples
  • Load screens in proper sequence and achieve fast, accurate registration
  • Set and maintain off‑contact, squeegee pressure, flood bars, stroke, and press speeds
  • Mix and manage inks to approved formulas, maintaining viscosity, color accuracy, and opacity
  • Maintain consistent print quality throughout the production run—no drifting, no “good enough”
  • Produce and submit first articles for approval before full production
  • Monitor prints continuously during the run (registration, color density, ink coverage)
  • Pull samples at defined intervals and stop production immediately if quality falls out of spec
  • Do not push bad work through to protect speed or counts
  • Run the press at agreed‑upon production speeds without sacrificing quality
  • Execute jobs in released sequence; do not self‑reorder work
  • Communicate immediately if anything threatens sustained output or on‑time delivery
  • Maintain clean handoffs to stacking, finishing, and downstream teams
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on presses, dryers, and related equipment
  • Clean, inspect, and lubricate equipment as scheduled
  • Identify developing mechanical issues early and escalate before downtime occurs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, production‑ready press area
